Museum
This is one of the more important museums in the world that exhibits art and culture from byzantine and post-byzantine times. It is housed in the 19th century mansion built and formerly owned by the philhellene Duchess of Pleasance, with modern-time additions of underground galleries so as to keep the style of the original buildings. Its separately organized collections consist of more than 50,000 items spanning a period from the 3rd to the 20th century. It also holds periodically very interesting exhibitions on selected artistic subjects. Has a nice garden in the center of town where visitors can enjoy a drink or light lunch!
